The Secret of the Spice Ship
In October 1752, the great wooden ship, The Sea Star, set sail from the busy docks of London. 
Onboard was Henry, a young sailor making his very first journey across the massive Atlantic Ocean.
Unlike the older sailors, Henry did not care about the cold wind or the salty waves.
He carried a small leather journal and a grand sense of adventure. The journey was long and difficult. For three weeks, Henry had to work on the wooden deck under the hot sun and sleep in a tiny hammock at night. But he never complained. 
He looked at the endless blue horizon and sang a travel rhyme to keep his spirits high: "The ocean is wide, the wind is our guide. We sail with the stars and the moon on our side." 
One stormy evening, the ship reached a mysterious, uncharted island in the Caribbean. 
The captain anchored the ship, and Henry was chosen to join the small rowing boat to explore the shore. 
The island smelled of wild cinnamon and sweet flowers. 
As they walked through the thick, green forest, Henry spotted something shiny half-buried in the white sand. He knelt down and brushed away the dirt. 
It was an ancient brass pocket watch from a traveler who lived a century before them! It still had a tiny, beautiful map engraved on the back. 
The map led them to a hidden waterfall where fresh, sweet water crashed into a clear pool. 
It was exactly what the thirsty crew needed to survive the rest of their long voyage. The captain patted Henry on the shoulder and said, "You have the eyes of a true explorer, lad!" 
Henry smiled, opened his journal, and wrote down his new favorite motto: "To travel is to live, to seek is to find. Leave your old fears on the shore far behind."
